FXPrimus — where it wins, where it loses

FXPrimus does not currently take a column outright against this field. It loses on no tier-1 entity. Its cost per ten lots is not confirmed, so it is left out of the cost ordering rather than estimated.

Column by column

The split

Two lists, no averaging. A broker that takes a column outright appears on the left of it; one that gets beaten on a column appears on the right. Nothing is scored into a single number, because a single number hides which side you actually care about.

Wins on

No column where FXPrimus takes the field outright.

Loses on

  • no tier-1 entity

Cost per 10 lots is the EUR/USD spread cost of ten round-turn standard lots at the figure above, commission excluded. Where a broker publishes a "from" spread rather than an average, the comparison inherits that limitation — see the unconfirmed list further down.

Licensing

Which entity, which regulator, which number

Tier decides how much weight a licence carries in any safety column. Each row links to the page it was read from.

Facts the comparison runs on

On the record

  • FXPrimus' legal page states the website is operated by Primus Markets INTL Ltd, registered in Vanuatu under number 014595 and regulated by the VFSC under licence 14595.
  • The same page states Primus Global Ltd (HE 337614) is regulated by CySEC under licence number 261/14; the CySEC register lists that licence with a licence date of 22 December 2014.
  • Primus Solutions LTD (HE 410155) is named on the legal page as a payment agent acting for the Vanuatu entity, not as a licence holder.
  • FXPrimus' own accounts page lists a minimum deposit of $15 for its entry account and $500 for its raw-spread account.
  • The Financial Services Commission of Mauritius suspended FX Primus Limited's Investment Dealer (Currency Derivatives Segment) and Investment Dealer (Full Service Dealer excluding Underwriting) licences and its Global Business Licence with immediate effect on 28 May 2015, and gave public notice on 28 March 2016 that the licences had been revoked after its Enforcement Committee found breaches of the Financial Services Act 2007, the Code on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing and the licensing conditions (https://www.fscmauritius.org/media/1684/public-notice-fxp.pdf).
